Wildfox, an LA-based label recently released their latest collection called “Magical Creatures”. This is also the theme that is evident in this collection, but it incorporates a very interesting twist.

The collection features the “girly things” that women are interested in like pink hair, ponies, rainbows, etc. Though that is the case, the designs are intended for the modern women thus presenting a fantasy-like appeal but very applicable to this modern age.

The collection also includes a story that is written by or Francesca Lia Block that tells the interweaving and interesting lives of an urban fairy, gypsy, and witch. These characters are clearly shown the collection by Wildfox. The latest collection from Wildfox is something where fantasy meets modern fashion.

This new venture from Target involves partnering up with the local shops all around the US. The target market for this collaboration is the mass market and this month’s featured stores include the following:

• Connecticut’s Privet House for home goods
• Boston’s Polka Dog Bakery for doggy goods
• Aspen’s Cos Bar for cosmetics
• San Francisco’s The Candy Shop for delicious candy
• Miami’s boutique Webster for footwear

The prices for the shoes are affordable as it ranges at around US$30 – US$ 40.

The collection known as the DV8 collection is said to be inspired by the popular dance television show before entitled Soultrain. The lookbook features images that depicts the free spirited time during the 1970′s and 1980′s.

Aside from those images, the lookbook also features shoes particularly the super-fly styles. These shoes have an affordable price range of US$129 to US$139. It is available in different colors as well as the style.

Becca McCharen came from Virgina and her background plays a big role in the element of her design. Her educational background is more on architecture and urban design thus providing the work on the structural intricacies in the undergarments of her design. In her Autumn/Winter collection, it shows a combination of girly looks as seen from the underwear design combined with clean and structured lines.

According to McCharen, the latest collection was inspired by exaggerated constructions of the female sex in cartoons, female superheros and villains, and Disney characters that have come undone.

Silvia Venturini Fendi was the one responsible for creating the bag last 1997. It was a small and rectangular bag which was designed to be carried under the arm similar to a loaf of bread. The bag has over 1,000 styles under its belt but the designer only choose six of her favorite designs to be reissued on the first of June together with Rizzoli’s Fendi Baguette.

The bag also gained public attention when Carrie from Sex and the City (Sarah Jessica Parker?, who wore the Fendi bag in one of their previous episodes. Sarah Jessica Parker shared her sentiment about it, stating ““Fendi was really the first important design house to loan us items, with the Baguette handbag being the first. Having the Fendi Baguette was a very big deal, and the gateway to everything else. It really opened the floodgates and influenced the storyline – especially Carrie’s habit of spending more money on fashion than her home.”
