Laura and Kate Mulleavy have made such a name for themselves in the fashion industry but these sisters have still so much in store for us. They just recently launched the debut of their footwear collection. Their past collaboration with renowned names in footwear such as Louboutin and Kirkwood as well as their routine of starting every collection with a shoe idea made this a natural move for them. Their mono-branded footwear, Rodarte, will be released in upscale stores between July and September and will definitely be something to look out for.
Inspired by the magnificent landscape and layers of earth, they created heels that are molded from resin and with plexiglass heels filled with layers of colorful sand. Truly a unique and marvelous way for us to always remember to keep our feet on the ground.
Their collection both has a mix of boots and booties and some have pocket knife etching and heels made of metal. The creative way that the sisters employ in utilizing the heels to express a fashion statement gives their line both a Victorian and utilitarian look.
