Diane von Furstenberg is usually associated with creating “girly” fashion clothes, especially dresses. In her Resort 2013 collection, DVF imprinted her usual “girly” design but with a mixture of masculinity in her collection.

The collection features designs that are still “girly”, including feminine dresses and flattering designs. Alongside with that are separates like pants and shorts that present an “edgier” DVF girl. The collars in the design are also on point in highlighting the masculine side of the design. Despite that, the overall look of the collection presents a wearable yet classy combination.

In terms of color, DVF utilized fun colors in her designs as well as prints. The fun colors that pertains to bright colors are not widespread throughout the collection. In fact, there are certain pieces that are presented in bright and fun colors like pink and green, which gives more life to the collection.

Despite being a mix of being feminine and masculine, the DVF stamp of making women look good is evident through this 2013 Resort Collection.
