Versace recently released a showcase of images for their 2012 Fall campaign collection. The images released for their 2012 Fall collection was a far cry from the luxurious and sophisticated images that they presented in their past campaigns.
The campaign features Elza Luijendijk, the newcomer Dutch model. As for the menswear campaign, it features more models namely Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner and Kacey Carrig. The images were shot by the famous fashion photographer duo Mert & Marcus. The reason why it is far from the usual Versace campaign is that the images were all black and white.
The campaign pictures give a ’90s feel through all the images thus looking as though it was paying a homage to the glorified fashion era during that time. Though this was a theme for the campaign images, the fashion featured in the campaign are modern but still classic. According to the label, their theme is more about being “gothic” which was really shown in the images.
