The 2012 Cannes Film Festival has officially started and the stars flocked once again to the South of France to attend the red carpet event.

This is the award show’s 65th year and it will run from May 16 to 27. The first day of the celebration became interesting when Sacha Baron Cohen, clad in his General Aladeen costume, gate crashed the event riding on a camel and accompanied by two female bodyguards.
