The small island of Curacao will host one the biggest fashion events in the Caribbean this month. From May 21 to May 25, Curacao will celebrate its first ever International Fashion Week showcasing collections of both local and international designers.
New York jeweler Adha Zelma, Aquaa Di Lara, Custo Barcelona and Francesca Morotta are among the many designers participating in the show. The main mission of the event however, is not just to show the island’s talented designers but also to expose its culture and natural wonders to a global audience. As guests flock to the island to attend Fashion Week, Curacao expects to boost its tourism by advertising their historical spots and exquisite beaches.
