Indian jewelry designer Amrita Singh is probably best known for her Bangle and Bollywood Collection. Most of her work have been featured in fashion magazines and are widely distributed in 200 boutiques around the world.
The more luxurious pieces however, belong to the crème de la crème of her collections, The Maharaja. Working primarily with gold and precious gemstones, Amrita’s luxury line showcases Indian art mixed with modern influences.
She drew inspiration from India’s Mughal Dynasty so her pieces reflect the craftsmanship at that time. Precious stones are set in 22- karat gold that has intricate patterns. Each piece is made by hand by India’s finest artisans and usually takes two to eight weeks to complete. Prices range anywhere from $3,000 to $9,000 depending on the design and materials used.
