Celebrity shoe designer Jessica Simpson is currently being called out by fashion critics for allegedly copying Christian Louboutin’s 2010 Staratata sandals. Her version of the sandal, called Evangel, only has minor differences from the high-end pair. The small alteration is probably just the buckle and heel color and of course, there is the obvious difference on the price tag. Louboutin’s sandal retails for $995, which is almost $800 pricier than Jessica Simpson’s version that currently retails for only $98. No word yet if Christian Louboutin will file charges against Jessica Simpson. Ripoffs have always been a problem in the world of fashion since there is no copyright on creative ownership or patent for original design.
