There is more to Rona Pfeiffer than just sharing her last name with her famous sister-in-law. The former TV and movie agent switched to careers eight years ago after discovering her passion in jewelry while helping her daughter with a craft project.
For a while, Pfeiffer made pieces for celebrity clients and for Barneys’s boutiques but had to put her career on hold to care for her ageing father. Now she is back with a vengeance, selling her collections in select shops like Elizabeth Charles, Fred Segal Couture boutique in California and Lux Couture and collaborating with costume designer Colleen Altwood for the upcoming Burton film, “Dark Shadows.” Actress Michelle Pfeiffer will be wearing her custom made as well as commercial designs.
Rona Pfeiffer’s pieces are made from organic materials ranging from ostrich eggs, shells and precious and semi-precious stones. They range anywhere from $1,500 to $ 15,000 for gem-encrusted pieces. You can see more of Rona Pfeiffer’s collection on her website:http://ronapfeifferjewelry.com.
