Vera Wang is channeling the powers of a celebrity with her new creation, the Lovestruck Fragrance. Of course a campaign for this ad deserves a good model and Vera Wang picked Gossip Girl actress, Leighton Meester. Vera picked Leighton as the face for the campaign because Vera believes that Leighton Meester exudes the right attitude for this ad campaign.
The idea behind the ad is that of a woman who can draw a lot of attention by her beauty. “When I heard tourists saying, ‘I want to look like her,’ I knew we were right on the money. There’s nothing like the real client in the street, and I mean the street literally — and in windows literally,” Vera Wang added. The perfume is “all about being overwhelmed, inexplicably, hopelessly in love. Allowing yourself to feel passion inspite of yourself, the situation, the repercussions. A new definition of Romeo and Juliet! Sexy, sensual, and unstoppable!”
The perfume will be available come June 5.
